Studio Editor/PA

Basic Overview:
The Studio Editor and production assistant works with the video production aspect of the Media Crew at the Buffalo Chip to import, catalog, and edit content in a timely manner during the motorcycle and music festival. This person should have strong video editing skills and be proficient with Final Cut Pro X nle software. Qualified candidates must be able to work independently and be able to follow directions. Attention to detail and organizational ability is an absolute must. Live streaming knowledge of Wirecast or other streaming software is also preferred. 

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Import and transcode daily content drops from event videographers and organize using a standardized catalog system.  

  • Track content alongside a master shots list in order to keep Media Crew Manager informed as to what content has and has not been captured 

  • Execute daily editing assignments in a timely manner and monitor content for potentially viral or highly effective clips, moments, and/or soundbites from the festival experience. 

  • Maintain the studio space and editor’s suite including, but not limited to; audio equipment, lighting, cameras, set pieces, interview schedules, and prep sheets. 

  • Monitor recording and stream content in accordance with the main stage event schedule and report any issues within the system immediately to the Media Crew Manager. 

  • Assist in studio produced interviews and other content and help ensure a professional and consistent streaming experience to Buffalo Chip social channels 

  • Act as a production assistant within the Media Crew to assist with response to constantly changing situations in schedules and needs.
