Human Resources Intern (Spring Semester)

WHAT TO EXPECT
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. We are seeking a Human Resources Intern for the Spring Semester in Denver, CO to support the recruiting operations in the United States. 
As the HR Intern you will support the recruiting team in the US and will be responsible for coordinating interviews while ensuring a positive candidate experience.  
  • Responsible for the United States candidate experience process and our hiring success
  • Partner closely with the recruitment team to facilitate the candidate process 
  • Drive and manage the candidate onboarding process which includes background and drug screen processing, requesting, and collecting necessary paperwork, and organizing day of logistics
  • Work independently in scheduling and rescheduling interviews and meetings
  • Assist with special projects and research as assigned
 
Job Requirements
 
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate might not have any prior recruitment experience, but is looking to break into Human Resources, is exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, and inquisitive. You will interact with all levels and candidates and Gates employees and must have excellent written and verbal communication.  
  • Pursuing a Full Time Undergraduate or Masters degree
  • Human Resources Concentration preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work 20+ hours a week in Denver through May with the possibility to extend
  • Strong desire to develop a professional career within Human Resources
  • Positive attitude and strong desire to learn
  • Corporate experience, a plus
  • Strong sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to easily connect and communicate with different types of people
  • Ability to troubleshoot last minute changes and stay calm under pressure
  • A passion for collaboration and customer support
  • Ability to work effectively with a remote team
 
PAY & BENEFITS
  • Part-Time Intern (up to 25 hour a week)
  • $18-$20 an hour
