Position Overview:  
Our Operations Assistant is dedicated to delivering excellence from the time a customer places an order to the moment a customer opens their package. The Operations team coordinates and executes day to day operations of order processing, inventory, logistics, fulfillment, and production, while maintaining strong relationships with our partners. As a team member, you will collaborate within a close-knit team, and remotely support various functions within the Operations group. The ideal person for this role thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and is able to follow and continuously improve upon processes. We have a social and environmental mission at the core of our company and are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about helping us achieve our social goals, as well as our business goals. The ideal candidate will be able to work a schedule that includes weekends. This remote, temporary role will last a duration of 3-6 months. The ideal candidate will be able to work a remote position in Denver, CO. 

Key responsibilities include:  
  • Extensively use our NetSuite ERP system to participate in the coordination of transporting goods between Brilliant Earth and our vendors/customers, as well as flow of goods within the Operations Team.  
  • Support order processing through data entry and analysis, adhering to specific procedures and protocol.  
  • Assess accuracy of production data and order information, and relay information to appropriate team members when errors are identified.  
  • Track product through order lifecycle and showroom inventories, and ensure timely processing.   
  • Identify and request appropriate diamond and gemstone inventory for customer appointments, utilizing deep understanding of our product offerings to provide customers with a high standard of personalization in their appointment allocations.  
  • Correspond with customers via phone and email to collect relevant documentation for validity of orders, or gain more information regarding their appointment preferences. 
  • Maintain high levels of confidentiality, product and data security standards, adhering to BE’s security protocols.  
  • Aid in improving process, including product intake, return, fraud investigation, security and inventory.  
  • Communicate with and support the other Operations sub-teams to help execute multiple processes and successfully complete orders. 
  • Meet and exceed individual and team goals in a customer service focused and deadline-driven environment, demonstrating accountability for continuously improved performance. 

Specific qualifications:  
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred 
  • Robust customer service skills and experience working in an ecommerce environment 
  • A dedicated desire to connect with customers, solve problems, and create lasting positive experiences with each customer interaction 
  • Ability to solve complex customer situations through varied applications and/or software. 
  • Demonstrated responsibility and accountability for meeting individual and team goals in a customer service focused environment. 
  • Attention to details 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication 
  • Computer and phone skills – experience with a CRM system, managed multiline phone system, or customer focused channel software system, preferred 
  • An ability to adhere to and implement relevant policies and procedures regarding high value product orders and confidentiality 
  • A team-oriented mindset with an ability to work collaboratively, think critically, be flexible, manage time effectively and adapt quickly 
  • A positive, eager to learn attitude and desire to grow in a dynamic work environment 
  • Interest in socially and environmentally responsible organizations and products
