Highlands Ranch Metro District is currently accepting applications for a Seasonal Engineering Intern. Successful applicant must have a strong desire to work as a team player in our Public Works Department.

These are seasonal positions working 40 hours per week from May through September.

Responsibilities will include providing support to the Public Works Department, assisting with civil design and construction projects, special projects and analysis for ongoing contract work or projects.

Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills. Knowledge of computers, electronic data processing; as well as spreadsheet, database and engineering software applications are necessary. High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Colorado driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record are required. Candidates who are enrolled in an engineering trade or program at a college level are preferred.

Pre-employment screening, which includes background check, drug screen and motor vehicle record check will be performed for all candidates who are offered employment.

Minimum hourly pay is $14 - $15, depending upon qualifications.
