Physical Design Intern - Summer 2021

Responsibilities:
This design methodology engineer position is for Physical Design convergence signoff group.  The responsibilities include:
  • Physical Design methodology enhancements (assists with design evaluation/benchmarking)
  • Identify & Define novel methods to improve quality and performance
  • Invent & Design new algorithms, models and flows to enhance the QoR & productivity
  • Block level Synthesis and PnR
  • Automation of work flow and Metrics evaluation

 Qualifications:
  • Working towards MS or PhD degree in Computer and/or Electrical Engineering. Solid understanding of VLSI system & sub-micron CMOS circuits design
  • Knowledge about industry standards and practices in Physical Design, including Physically aware synthesis and Place & Route
  • Solid understanding of Machine Learning Algorithms and its applications in Physical Design
  • Prior experience or publications in Machine Learning Algorithms is required
  • Solid programming skills in Python, C, TCL etc., with  ML packages, data visualization, analytics etc.,
  • Familiar with standard industry EDA tools
  • Experience/Exposure to software work-flow is preferable
  • Self-motivated, team player with good communication skills
