This position will be for a summer research internship in a chemical research lab. Interns will conduct novel chemical research under the supervision of the professor and graduate student mentors. Interns will specifically be synthesizing chemical compounds, then characterizing prepared compounds via a host of methods: x-ray diffraction, uv-vis/IR spectroscopy, magnetic resonance spectroscopies, and magnetic susceptibility techniques. Interns will also be responsible with communicating the research results either through presentations at group meeting or to the public through publication.
