Research Assistant (clinical)

The Clinical Sciences Department invites student applicants to an hourly RESEARCH SUPPORT position commencing immediately for approximately 12 months. Seven openings are currently available. Hours vary but will be approximately 4-6 hours/case enrolled (target 10 cases) at $25/hour when called in by the research group after a patient is enrolled. Work Study students are encouraged to apply. Please check with your financial aid advisor to make sure there is no negative impact to your financial aid package.

The position is expected to assist clinical researchers with a variety of support tasks. Duties of this position may include, but are not limited to:

·      Documenting clinical patient data required for the clinical research study accurately and in a timely way.

·      Assisting clinical personnel with blood sampling, research algorithm and readiness of research interventions

·      Perform Point of Care diagnostics to include viscoelastic monitoring

·      Delivering appropriate blood samples to the Clinical Pathology lab

·      Other tasks as needed to ensure all aspects of the clinical trial are performed to standard.
