Policy Investment Analyst Summer Internships - 2021 Grads

We are looking for intelligent, driven, enthusiastic students who have an interest in policy and investments. Our interns will work with senior analysts in researching key policy themes affecting the investment theses of our clients in the financial services, healthcare, energy and special situations sectors.  Interns will develop top-notch research skills, improve both written and oral communication, and learn different investment strategies.  Throughout the internship, interns will work on and develop a policy-driven investment idea with the mentorship of a senior analyst.  At the conclusion, they will present their idea to the research department.  Successful interns can receive full-time offers to join the firm.

Responsibilities:

Interns will research Congressional legislation, agency rules and a variety of state-level regulations and apply the financial implications to public and private companies.  Research will include reading legislation, white papers and newspaper articles; communicating with policy-makers and high-level stakeholders; and analyzing financial documents including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, earnings reports and other information from Bloomberg terminals.  Most research will be conducted as part of a small team of full-time analysts.  Individual research will be overseen by a senior analyst or the director of research.

·        Rising or current senior in a Bachelor’s degree program, Masters student or recent alum
