Program Supervisor V (Manager, Business Intelligence and Financial Analysis) (00014187)

Under the direction of the Business Management Program Director, this position provides oversight and management to the Business Intelligence team of State Park Business Management program for performance of complex business intelligence, data analytics, and financial analyses. Provides leadership and guidance to the Business Intelligence team, including strategic planning, setting long-term and short-term goals, measuring performance, coaching and development of team members, managing program budget, and individual performance evaluations. Supervises and performs data analytical report validation, production, dissemination and support to State Parks Division. Supervises validation and integrity of park and site data in the reservation database and business system with data transfers and report preparation. Monitors and implements analytics and performance metrics of various inputs and key performance indicators. Provides expertise on creating and deploying data procurement and data sourcing techniques, and collection of information related to park visitors. Work involves data analysis and reporting related to park visitor demographics, revenue-generation, customer service, marketing and outreach, leased concessionaire performance, organizational operations, financial analysis, and enterprise programs associated with the public use of State Parks. Provides data driven recommendations to leadership through presentations or written correspondence. Develops policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data. Works collaboratively across teams and coordinates unified effort to gather and monitor program financial and performance data: sales, revenues, operational service costs and cost-recover, as well as reviewing, assessing, and developing earned income. Additional duties require utilizing compiled research to identify use trends, user satisfaction, service needs, and business opportunities. Performs data reporting to include various techniques such as statistical analysis, forecasting, automated report generation, text mining, and data visualization. Work also requires design and development of administrative and financial reports for use by program management utilizing multiple systems, such as: Park Business System (PBS), Aspira, Statistical Analysis System (SAS), ESRI Business Analyst, Tapestry, Impact Analysis for Planning (IMPLAN), and Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS) software. Provides input general business rules and policies that impact Business Management and State Parks. Employs cost-benefit or feasibility analysis. Reviews financial requests, data report requests, assesses additional funding needs, and explores alternative funding methods. Bridges business problems with internal/external technology support and solutions. Will train and lead others. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
