Media Sales Consultant

Student Media Advertising Consultant/Account Executive
Gain hands-on experience in sales and business relations while working as a media sales consultant for Rocky Mountain Student Media.

The MediaConsultant/AE will consult, promote, and sell innovative marketing and advertising solutions across multiple platforms (including digital, social, print, radio, video, sponsorships, etc.) to current and new customers, create and/or monitor media placement and interface directly with business owners and leaders both on and off-campus. The Media Consultant/AE’s key responsibility is to develop solid relationships with customers, generate leads, conduct client pitches, sell marketing and advertising, place media orders and be a productive and successful member of our team.

Responsibilities include:
  • ongoing planning and prospecting new clients to meet monthly and special section goals
  • developing comprehensive client proposals
  • completing necessary paperwork (insertion orders, new account information, form of payment and layout)
  • logging and updating data into Salesforce CRM program and Monday.com
  • assisting creative teams in developing, coordinating, and executing deliverables based on
client’s goals
  • evaluating and monitoring campaign results to ensure effective results.

Requirements:
  • a minimum of at least 10 hours per week to meet with current and prospective clients and complete office tasks
  • passion for sales, account management and customer service
  • well organized with high level of attention to detail
  • must have superior communication and presentation skills and display exemplary reliability and follow-through
  • self-starter with confidence, drive and a strong work ethic
  • demonstrate ability to meet and exceed goals
  • must be self-aware, highly personable, a good listener and must enjoy working directly with clients in a professional setting.
