Marketing Intern- Summer 2021

Medline offers a robust internship program that provides you with the ability to make a true impact. You will be able to take ownership on projects as well as get a feel for day to day work in your role. In addition to the project work, Medline will provide you with learning, networking, and social opportunities throughout the summer through intern specific trainings, lunch & learns with leadership, and fun events.

Marketing Intern at Medline will work closely with the Segment Marketing team members and will be exposed to all areas of the business, including marketing, sales, solution development, market assessment, and competitive strategies.  

The challenging responsibilities of the position include:
  • Under the direction of senior marketing management, develop and implement promo planning tactics against milestones established, work with the product divisions, sales and creative team to achieve a successful promo.
  • Work with product divisions to develop solutions and supporting marketing plans to address identified needs.
  • Understand and analyze the competitive marketplace and develop strategies to effectively compete for increased sales and profitability.
  • Act as the liaison between product divisions and creative development team to ensure development of effective selling tools as well as prioritization of needs across divisions.
  • Assist with marketing tactics and partnership projects. Manage trade show tactics to achieve goals and objectives - recommend and select featured products and provide support for marketing managers and sales to execute plans through to lead management.
  • Survey reps on select topics such as best practices, promo, marketing collateral.

Qualifications:
  • Junior standing with 3.0 minimum GPA preferred
  • Previous internship experience in product management/development, marketing, and/or business preferred
  • Active interest in the Healthcare industry preferred
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication and follow-up skills required
  • Excellent presentation skills for large and small groups
  • Must have strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a bias toward action and be results oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Unrestricted permanent US work authorization
