We have a total of 3 positions, becoming available within two weeks, within the Animal Care/Custodial Services department at the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital. This position has a start date of May 10th, 2020. The available positions' description are as follows:

Anesthesia - this area consists of both Anesthesia Preps; Endoscopy; Small Animal Surgery Pit; Small Animal Surgery rounds rooms; bathrooms and offices.

Central Hall - this area consists of a small animal spay/neuter surgical scrub sinks; Avian Exotics Zoo (AEZ) Ward (including exam rooms, procedures and rounds rooms); Neurology (rounds and exam room); rounds rooms for AEZ, Anesthesia, Neurology and Small Animal Medicine; bathrooms and offices.

West Hall - this area consists of Community Practice (exam and rounds room); Dermatology; rounds rooms for Dentistry, Oncology, and Reproduction; Small Animal Surgery pit; Student Lab; bathrooms and offices.

General duties for every area within the Animal Care department includes the cleaning/disinfecting of cabinetry, cages, counters, exam tables, lamps, sinks, toilets/urinals, etc. Removing dirty laundry, recycle and trash. Sweeping and mopping floors.

Scheduled hours: Monday through Friday, 5p - 9p.

Employees will have frequent exposure to blood, deceased bodies, feces, urine, and vomit. The jobs function strictly in a custodial environment and capacity, with absolutely no lab or tech work involved.

Throughout the year, employees will be expected to participate in all extra projects/events. This includes, but are not limited to, Open House in April. These extra events may require employees to perform extra duties and/or work extra hours/days.
