General Store Associate

Job Summary
 
General Store Associate are actively involved with NOC's guest experience and are oftentimes, the first point of contact for many of our on-site guests. This position is a guest facing position and focuses on delivering exceptional guest service while answering questions and assisting with lodging check-in and General Store purchases. In addition, General Store Associates must be proactive in helping our guests and are also expected to help stock product and ensure a clean and safe work environment. 
 
This position is classified as seasonal and NOC is looking for individuals that could join us for our upcoming season and are available to start this spring. Hours will vary week to week based on business demands. Our peak season at NOC happens from Memorial Day to Labor Day. 
Responsibilities

  • Ensure extraordinary guest service with enthusiasm and attention to detail
  • Politely greet and proactively assist all NOC guests
  • Offer accurate product information and make product suggestions to guests based on individual guest needs
  • Process Point of Sale (POS) transactions accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established NOC policies and procedures
  • Maintain store visual appearance and personal appearance standards
  • Keep General Store and food preparation area stocked and clean; replenish as needed
  • Answer phones and check voicemails daily and respond to guests promptly
  • Communicate with management staff regularly to ensure open channels of communication
  • Run reports and reconcile bank at end of day for both the General Store and lodging
  • Assist guests with lodging information and book reservations including, but not limited to, assiging room keys and assembling lodging packets

  • Complete opening and closing tasks as shift dictates
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required
  •  Must be 18 years of age
Preferred
  • Prior experience with customer service and/ or sales
  • Prior cash handling experience

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions 
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must have the ability to lift 40lbs on a regular basis
  • Must speak clearly and concisely 
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and twist
  • Daily use of phone, computer and other office equipment
