The goal of the Mock Interview program for engineering students is to provide feedback and guidance on enhancing interviewing skills for engineering jobs. We are seeking students that have had previous experience in interviewing (virtual, phone or in-person) with engineering companies. You will provide a schedule for students to sign up for one-hour sessions. During each session, you will act as an interviewer for half the time asking Behavior Based Interviewing type questions and taking notes. The second half of the one-hour session will be you providing feedback on how each student can improve their answers to highlight their skills for an engineering job. Each Mock Interviewer will receive training before their schedules go live but past experiences will be very helpful to coach students. Other tasks may include: presentation attendance, Attendance registration and data collection, and other Engineering Success Center tasks. Hours are negotiable but would prefer 10-15 hours per week.
