College of Liberal Arts Engagement and Events Coordinator (Pay Range Below)

The pay range for this position is $12.32- $17.50/hr. Start Date is Flexible.

The College of Liberal Arts (CLA) Student Engagement and Events Coordinator shall support the CLA Development team primarily by producing and managing 4-6 small donor events annually. In addition to these primary responsibilities, the CLA Student Coordinator shall perform other Development related duties as assigned, including administrative support and donor stewardship.

We are looking for a student who can work the 22/23 school year and would also be open to a student working Summer 2022. Please indicate your seasonal ability on your cover letter.

What You’ll Be Doing 
  • Coordinate events, including invitations, attendance lists, organizing catering, décor, and overall guest experience V/WC, PA, TW, L, C, CD, CT/PS
  • Add creativity to donor experience at events C, L
  • Anticipate event needs, potential roadblocks, and be able to think critically to problem solve when unexpected challenges arise CT/PS, SR
  • Collaborate with Development team, faculty, Dean, University Advancement, and CLA staff as necessary for event and giving campaign success TW, L
  • Support the team with other donor relations tasks, such as donor follow-up and stewardship C, L

Required Qualifications  
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal).
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to efficiently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Positive attitude, motivated, and ability to work autonomously

  • Must be willing to work fall and spring semester
  • Working hours, up to 15 hours/week, will be during regular business hours, Monday – Friday.

Preferred Qualifications (but not required)  
  • Previous event planning experience
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Available to work multiple academic years
  • Ability to work Summer 2022

Additional Job Details 
  • Required training: Mandatory Advance CRM and EDM designer training (we provide)
  • Pay rate: $12.32 - $16.50/hr for undergraduate students; $13.75-$17.50/hr for graduate students. UA student pay rates are commensurate with class standing and previous experience

The division of University Advancement at CSU is responsible for raising private financial support for the University. Our 165 staff members have raised over $1.2 billion for CSU in just the last 8 years. We facilitate individuals, corporations, foundations, and other university constituents giving back to campus priorities like faculty research, student scholarships, new buildings, and new programs that benefit our community and our students. We also help university alumni, donors and friends stay connected to CSU through events, communications, the Alumni Association and more.  

The College of Liberal Arts Development Office is responsible for seeking private philanthropic support for the College from our ever-growing community of supporters, including alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends of the University. Donor support comes in many forms and ensures the continuation of the land-grant mission of Colorado State University to provide access through student scholarships, faculty research grants, and support for innovative programs across campus.
