Development Student Coordinator, College of Health and Human Sciences

The pay range for this position is $12.32- $17.50/hr. 

The Development team for the College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) is seeking a Development Student Coordinator. The CHHS Development Student Coordinator will assist the Assistant Director of Operations and Stewardship with scholarships, stewardship, events and other various operational tasks.


What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Impact Reports: Research previous scholarship recipients' current livelihoods to show how the how Donor has impacted the receipt's life through their contribution through their scholarship. DP, V/WC, C, TW
  • Data Entry: Aid the Assistant Director of Operations and Stewardship in data entry. For example: updating scholarship dollar amounts and/ or updated scholarship criteria in both Excel spreadsheets and the CSU Scholarship Database. DP
  • Assisting with sending annual scholarship renewals to donors. PA
  • Designing scholarship flyers for each department within CHHS. V/WC, C
  • Proofing and editing student thank you letters. PA
  • Aid in Event Planning/ Preparation: Help with tasks for event planning such as verifying the guest list, printing name tags, organizing handout materials, etc. – when events resume on campus. GC, CT/PS, DP, V/WC, CD, IT, C, L
  • Event Assistance: Help with miscellaneous tasks throughout the Event such as venue set up, greeting guests, passing out name tags, hanging guest’s coats, handing out flyers, etc. Followed by assisting in clean-up after the event.  GC, CT/PS, DP, V/WC, CD, IT, C, L
  • Handle some ad-hoc requests in Advance. CT/PS, PA

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work to maximize productivity, and respond effectively to change

  • Must be willing to work fall and spring semester, some summer hours
  • The team will be in the office Mon, Wed and Fri and the hours worked must be during those days during regular business hours of 8am – 5pm. Students are expected to work 3-4 hours on each of those days
  • This is a work‐study position; all applicants must be eligible for work‐study to apply
 
Preferred Qualifications (but not required)  
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and address upcoming assignments
  • Understand the importance of cultivating and maintaining donor relationships and confidentiality
  • Excellent ability to promote a culture of support and inclusion to students, staff, faculty, and donors, and work effectively with diverse groups and individuals
  • Ability to exercise considerable initiative, independent judgment, self-motivation, and discretion
  • Ability to assist with design, writing and communication from and on behalf of CHHS development team

Additional Job Details 
  • Pay rate: $12.32 - $16.50/hr for undergraduate students; $13.75-$17.50/hr for graduate students. UA student pay rates are commensurate with class standing and previous experience
  • Anticipated start date: August 23, 2021
