Advancement Business Services Student Coordinator

The pay range for this position is $12.32- $17.50/hr. START DATE NEGOTIABLE

The Advancement Business Services (ABS) team in the division of University Advancement (UA) is hiring for a Student Coordinator! The ABS Student Coordinator will assist with all financial areas supporting University Advancement. This is a great opportunity to gain familiarity with finance and business services.

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Interact with Director of Finance and other ABS personnel to communicate and interpret financial information, reports, services and policies V/WC
  • Assist approving officials and fiscal officer as needed, to ensure the program integrity by reviewing transactions for compliance with CSU fiscal rules CT/PS
  • Assist with PCard Program; Print and compile monthly cardholder statements and forward packet to the cardholder for review and signatures PA
  • Maintain expense documentation in a secure location for audit purposes PA

Required Qualifications  
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts and record-keeping
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, able to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to customer service

  • Student is able to work up to 20 hours a week between 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, in person
 
Preferred Qualifications (but not required) 
  • Experience in CSU financial processes or accounting

Additional Job Details 
  • Pay rate: $12.32 - $16.50/hr for undergraduate students; $13.75-$17.50/hr for graduate students. UA student pay rates are commensurate with class standing and previous experience
  • Anticipated start date: December 6, 2021

The division of University Advancement at CSU is responsible for raising private financial support for the University. Our 165 staff members have raised over $1.2 billion for CSU in just the last 8 years. We facilitate individuals, corporations, foundations, and other university constituents giving back to campus priorities like faculty research, student scholarships, new buildings, and new programs that benefit our community and our students. We also help university alumni, donors and friends stay connected to CSU through events, communications, the Alumni Association and more.  

University Advancement Advancement Business Services (ABS) is the business office for University Advancement and is responsible for managing all UA financial areas including budgeting, procurement, travel and payroll.
