Social Media Manager
The Center for Literary Publishing seeks a social media manager to coordinate its active social media presence through multiple platforms—Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, podcast, and blog—to ensure consistent, effective messaging and identity. The social media manager will (1) ensure that our platforms are in compliance with the university’s standards; (2) conduct ongoing reviews of each platform’s performance for strategic planning for AY2021-22; (3) create content for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; (4) coordinate, edit, and post staff blog posts; (5) research promotional and cross-promotional opportunities; (6) develop a calendar for the year, with well-defined campaigns and regularly communicate interns on social media team to coordinate efforts; (7) refine and update existing posting standards for the future; and (8) work with the editor of CLP’s monthly e-newsletter to coordinate content and promotional efforts.
Requirements:
At least one semester experience with the Center for Literary Publishing; must be very familiar with social media platforms and practices; must have experience with or be willing to learn WordPress, Adobe CC (InDesign and Photoshop), MailJet, MailChimp, Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel in particular); and must have strong copyediting and proofreading skills.
Required competencies include: DP, V/WC, PA, TW, L. C, CD, CT/PS, SR, GC
Position is for 7 hours each week.
Pay Rate: $16.50
This is a work-study position; applicant must be eligible for work-study to apply.
