Dairy cattle research assistant

Job Description:
  • Seeking a self‐motivated, multi‐tasking, organized student employee who possesses superior verbal and written communication skills, leadership skills, and knowledge of dairy cattle to assist with a research project.
  • May work up to 35 hrs/week. Exact hours are flexible and are dependent on scheduled farm visit days.
  • Must be available for at least 20 hours per week during scheduled dairy visits.
  • Pay is $13/hour.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Organize and communicate research tasks to volunteers, keep team members on-task and organized, ensure all research team members follow protocols. V/WC PA TW L
  • Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines with successful completion of work. Ability to work inclusively in a diverse setting. L, TW
  • Prepare research supplies for data collection and enter data with an attention to detail and critical evaluation. DP, PA

Required Skills
  • Work independently and efficiently to complete research-related tasks PA

Preferred Skills 
  • Previous experience handling dairy cattle of all ages ‐ CT/PS
