This position is located in the Air Modeling Section of the Emissions, Evaluation, and Support Division of the Bureau of Air Quality. The selected applicant for this position:
• Will perform air quality forecasting and related tasks involved in projecting pollutant levels for assigned forecast zones. Some weekend and holiday work will be required during the ozone forecasting season.
• Will conduct and evaluate refined air dispersion modeling of industrial and institutional facilities to determine compliance with ambient air quality standards.
• Will conduct and evaluate exemptions, deferrals, de minimis, other information, and screening air dispersion modeling analyses of industrial and institutional facilities to determine compliance with ambient air quality standards.
• Will provide meteorological and general support to the section and air program by performing various tasks involving collecting, processing, quality assuring, and analyzing meteorological or other data.
