Merchandise Internship

Our internship program provides an exciting learning opportunity at our award-winning theme parks and resort that is rooted in providing guests with memories worth repeating. Our internationally-recognized theme park is known for its outstanding entertainment, attractions, festivals, restaurants and more. You will have opportunities to work side-by-side with operational experts, award-winning chefs, and tourism industry leaders. Our internship program is designed to help you sharpen the skills you learned in the classroom by applying them to work situations that are both challenging and rewarding. The Merchandise Internship is 10 weeks and during that time students will gain training in all positions involved in 27 merchandise locations. The locations will offer an array of different options including, crafts, gifts, candy production, revenue, and apparel. Some of the other things the interns will also learn about are photography operations, rentals, and amusements. The focus of the internship is broken down into sections; Sales Clerk, Inventory Control Assistant (Warehouse Logistics), Visual Team Assistant, and Leadership Assistant. Once the student has acquired the basic knowledge and skills needed effectively perform a position, they will move on to the next in the rotation. This program is designed to give the students a thorough knowledge of a working professional merchandising in a Theme Park atmosphere. All Students will be required to present a project of their choice at the end of the program to demonstrate acquired knowledge and skills needed effectively perform in a desired career.
