Facilities Technician

The selected candidate will gain work experience in a variety of trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, wood working, painting, and carpentry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Keeping buildings operational by conducting thorough hands-on maintenance of all equipment and assets
  • Creating tickets in the work order system to properly keep track of assets and to ensure they are maintained on schedule
  • Assist with responding to maintenance tickets submitted by employees in a timely manner
  • Assist in supervising the activities of external technicians or sub-contractors
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a US government security clearance
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous maintenance experience
  • Experience using basic hand tools
  • Excellent organizational skills, motivated, a self-started, and able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
  • Moderate to heaving lifting
  • Requires walking, standing, driving, sitting, squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, and turning on a consistent basis
  • Must be able to use hands for fine manipulation of hand tools

  • Programmable logic controller (PLC) experience
  • Commercial HVAC experience
  • Willing to obtain a CDL
  • Working knowledge of trades
  • Willing to travel, as needed
