Syncta Sales Manager (Open)

  • Watts is seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Manager to join Syncta, our exciting new Software Services division. Syncta is a cloud-based software solution used to efficiently track and manage the backflow testing lifecycle. The inside sales Manager will be part of Syncta’s leadership team and work closely with the Customer Success Manager and Product Development Manager to develop and implement Syncta’s growth strategy. The Inside Sales Manager will spearhead all sales activities from initial lead through final close. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the Software as a Services (SaaS) business model, a strong customer service orientation, is organized, accurate and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.   • RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Be part of Syncta’s leadership team
  • Meet, or exceed sales targets
  • Mentor and train inside sales team to build and manage sales pipeline
  • Help inside sales team members close new business at or above quota
  • Work with Syncta leadership team to design and implement a scalable sales strategy
  • Recruit, hire and onboard new inside sales team members
  • Research competitive companies and offerings
  • Learn about a prospective customer’s organization, culture and industry
  • Understand customers pain points and propose solutions that help customers achieve their business goals
  • Become an expert at presenting Syncta’s software capabilities to customers in a compelling way
  • Coordinate and prioritize data imports, customer features and other onboarding tasks
  • Documents all sales activity in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application
  • Proactively communicate with associates and prospects in the pipeline
  • Close and transition new clients to customer success team
  • Generates new sales leads through outbound efforts and other methods
  • Maintain up to date info on the opportunity funnel, and work with sales team to focus on key opportunities for the business
  • Work with finance and accounting teams on monthly sales reporting
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts
  • Analyze team performance, create/maintain appropriate and effective KPIs
  • Continuously iterate on and improve sales processes
  • Manage and co-ordinate all digital and traditional marketing activities for Syncta
  • Visit and participate in industry trade shows to generate new business
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • MANAGEMENT:

  • Manage team of 5-10 inside sales executives
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technically oriented individual. Must possess strong computer software skills (familiarity with social media, email, CRM, spreadsheets, and document programs)
  • Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues/needs into solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, prioritize and close multiple sales leads
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish mutually beneficial commitments and expectations with customers, internally and externally
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who can handle workload and take initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Coordination and influencing skills

  • Experience in negotiation of sales opportunities and contract terms
  • Inside sales experience is a plus, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Experience managing inside sales teams
  • Prior experience being held to metrics
  • Experience in water or municipal markets is a plus
