The CalSTRS Disability & Survivor Benefits Division is seeking a resilient and positive individual with a willingness to help others while maintaining a focus on the rules and laws that guide our business decisions to join the Survivor Benefits Production Team as a Survivor Benefits Production Analyst.
The Survivor Benefits (SB) Unit has the challenging yet rewarding task of assisting our members’ beneficiaries during a time when they need us most. Being part of the SB Unit is more than a job; each day provides the opportunity to deliver empathetic support and guidance to our customers throughout the survivor benefits application process.
Under supervision of the Pension Program Manager I, the Survivor Benefits Production Analyst will:
- Manage a personal caseload of average difficulty and escalated SB cases to ensure the accurate and timely processing of benefits.
- Serve as the primary resource to members, beneficiaries and/or their representatives during the benefit determination process.
- Research, review, and analyze facts to provide recommendations regarding benefits.
