Policy Associate

The Policy Associate plays a key role in supporting advocacy, public policy, communications and government relations functions to further The Nature Conservancy’s mission in Oregon. The PA provides direct policy analysis, executes stakeholder engagement strategies, develops policy communications products and deliverables, serves as liaison between the Oregon Government Relations/Policy Team and the Strategic Communications and Marketing team and represent the organization with internal and external stakeholders on Oregon local, state and federal policy matters, as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Policy Associate provides research and policy analysis in support of The Nature Conservancy’s policy priorities and tracks public policies and decisions that directly affect conservation goals. The PA builds and facilitates internal networks, coordinating meetings, agendas, and presentations. The PA assists in influencing the outcome of policy and/or strategic communications initiatives in Oregon at local, state and federal levels.
