Undergraduate Laboratory Assistant at the Analytical Resources Core

The Analytical Resources Core (ARC) is looking for an undergraduate student to assist in the maintenance of state-of-the art research instrumentation in the ARC CORE facility. Primary responsibilities will include basic routine instrument maintenance including liquid nitrogen fills for NMR spectrometers and cryogen dewar handling, inspections and cleaning of NMR consoles, exchanging high purity helium/argon gas tanks, vacuum pump maintenance (including inspections and oil changes) and hazardous waste management. Other duties will include administrative tasks such as usage tracking using the iLab core management software tool and data entry in excel, Google forms, etc., as well as general laboratory tasks (inventory, solvent prep, ordering, etc.). This job involves physical labor moving large heavy dewars around (25-30 lbs), bending and lifting. Experience with MS office programs is required, including Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Looking for motivated, independent and quick learners.

Hourly Pay Rate: $13/h
