Product Development Engineer Intern Summer 2022

Overview:
The Product Development Engineer Intern will directly assist the Analog and/or Digital Manager with a wide range of tasks related to IC design (schematic entry, RTL coding, simulation, post layout verification, etc.).
This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to apply skills she or he may have acquired in school related to his or her particular areas of interest, and apply them in a professional setting. The candidate will also have opportunities to network and work across multiple disciplines within the business in a fast-paced and growing Space Systems organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Explore the development of standard products using schematic entry, simulation, and physical layout design tools
  • Assist in silicon data collection for products currently in design which are expected to reach “first article” inspection
  • Explore power grid and EM analysis
  • Understand the essentials of product development: schematic entry, simulation, physical design, physical design verification (physical and electrical)
Qualifications:
MINIMUM: 
  • Currently enrolled in and will be a returning student in the Fall working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering 
  • High School diploma
  • 1 year of relevant experience
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 
  • Eligibility for this position includes being a U.S. Person. Permenant residency acceptable.
PREFERRED:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office™ products - Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point, Project.
  • Completion of courses related to High Speed Digital Design, Analog IC Design, VLSI Circuit Design or similar courses.
  • Involvement in VLSI Design project 
Range of pay starts at $20 and goes up depending on level of experience
