Student Orientation and Training Manager

Function:

The Student Training and Recruitment Manager is responsible for conducting and scheduling department wide training orientations for all new hourly employees for Residential Dining Services throughout the year. The position will also work closely with the student employment team in the organization and tracking of new training courses for student leadership, as well as, assist in the development of future trainings and management retreats. The position would also be responsible for actively promoting the Housing and Dining brand, and sponsoring events and actively recruiting during job fairs when necessary and available.

Essential Duties:

1.  Schedule and teach The New Employee Department Orientation classes in-person multiple times per week for newly hired hourly team members, to include:
a.   Develop the tracking and delivery of notifications to student managers on employee completion of orientations
b.   Set-up and organization of class times, schedule, and locations
2.   Aid in tracking and continued development of student leadership courses
3.   Assist in developing future trainings, bi-yearly retreats, and retention efforts
4.   Attend employment job fairs as available
5.   Meet daily scheduling requirements and accomplish all tasks in a timely fashion
6.   Learn and follow all guidelines contained in the employee handbook
7.   Understand and follow Colorado State University policies, including the Principles of Community
8.   Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Six months experience within Residential Dining Services or comparable food service organization
2.   Currently enrolled in a higher education degree seeking program
3.   Preferred: (proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bookings, Google Forms, scheduling software, etc.)

10-15 hours per week (potential for more at beginning of academic semesters, some weekend work required)
