Computer Lab Scheduler - Warner College of Natural Resources

Job Description: Computer Lab Scheduler for the Warner College of Natural Resources computer labs
 
·        The main responsibilities of the student computer lab scheduler is to assist students in the Warner College of Natural Resources with the usage of computers in the computer labs which run in a Windows 10 environment. 
.       Scheduling responsibilities include sending out communication to team members as well as collecting scheduling requests and creating work schedules for the semester and for and breaks.
.       Additional responsibilities include doing weekly inventory and training all new employees.
·        Available hours, Monday-Thursday 7:30 am to 11:00 pm. Friday 7:30 am to 7:00 pm. Sunday 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
·        This opening is for Spring, Fall and Summer semesters. Summer hours are optional.
 
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
 
·        Enforce lab policies and rules
·        Perform routine duties such as printer upkeep, including changing toner cartridges, refilling paper trays, answering phone, taking messages PA
·        Delivering laptops to classes according to schedule, keeping schedules updated and preparing for classes held in the lab. PA
·        Handling checkout laptops to students.
 .      Cleaning in the lab, keyboards and work stations and laptops
·        Provide end user support for printing and basic network services (email, web access, remote desktop), reporting possible hardware/network problems to the lab manager, and handling check out laptops for students. DP, V
.       Sending out shift and scheduling emails. Collecting shift requests and creating a work schedule for the semester. This also includes all breaks and over the summer. DP, V/WC, PA, TW, CT/PS
.       Updating the scheduling information in Teams as well as any training documentation. DP
.       Taking inventory and filling out weekly inventory sheets. DP
 
Required Skills:
 
·        Required experience includes familiarity with Microsoft Office as well as working in a Windows environment. Mostly Word and Excel, though other apps may be needed. DP, WC
.       Strong organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to work unsupervised. DP, CT/PS
.       Strong oral communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience. DP, V
 
Preferred Skills:
 
·        Must be able to work independently and have good time management skills. Must be able to adjust work flow to meet scheduled tasks. CT
