
Student assistant for Fish, Wildlife and Conservation Biology courses
The Department of Fish, Wildlife and Conservation Biology invites student applicants to an hourly TEACHING SUPPORT position commencing immediately. Work hours are flexible and pay rate is $13/hour. Work-Study students are encouraged to apply. Please check with your financial aid advisor to make sure there is no negative impact to your financial aid package.
The position is expected to assist instructors with a variety of support tasks. Duties of this position may include, but are not limited to:
• Organizing or preparing materials (e.g., Powerpoints, Word docs) to assist the instructor in making them more accessible to non-visual learners. • Monitoring chat streams to assist discussion in online course sessions; • Monitoring for questions or raised hands by students participating remotely in hybrid/hyflex lectures • Proctoring exams, other direct course support (will require background check if there is access to protected student information) • Other tasks as needed that do not involve access to protected student information
The position will not be engaged in direct teaching, tutoring or mentoring.
Desired qualifications include: knowledge of fish, wildlife and conservation biology, strong familiarity with Word, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Canvas. Students who earned a B or better in FW300 and FW301 desired.
