Economics Graduate Research Assistant – Spring 2022 Open Pool
Job Duties: Seeking a self‐motivated, multi‐tasking, organized, professional student employee (PA) who possesses superior verbal and written communication skills (V/WC) to provide graduate-level research assistance to faculty members in the Department of Economics (CD).
Job Responsibilities: Undertake independent research, data collection, analysis and writing in the field of economics under the supervision of and collaboration with select faculty in the Department of Economics (C, SR, CT/PS, L, GC). Position start date is as early as 01/01/2022; assignment would conclude no later than 05/13/2022, but could end earlier depending on the research assignment. Hours may vary but would not exceed 10 hours/week.
Required Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and econometrics, and capable of undertaking graduate-level economics research. Work independently and efficiently as well as through collaboration (DP, V/WC, PA, TW, GC).
Preferred Skills: Preference will be given to applicants who are current students within the Department of Economics PhD program. Proficiency with multiple statistical, data, web, and mapping programs (DP, CT/PS).
Number of Openings: dependent on faculty need
Salary: $20/hour
