GDPE Science Communication Coordinator
The Graduate Degree Program in Ecology (GDPE) is looking for a GDPE graduate student to serve as the Science Communication Coordinator for Spring semester 2022.
- The student must be a MS student in the GDPE program.
- This is a 4-hour/week position. The appointment may be extended to Fall 2022 depending on the interest of the student, their performance and the availability of funding.
- The student will work on science communication projects on behalf of GDPE with an eye towards ensuring the sustainability of any new projects initiated.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Work on the GDPE webpages with the Admin staff using Wordpress DP, V/WC
- Run our Twitter account (or supervise intern to do so) DP, V/WC, L
- Attend and photograph events C
- Weekly Digest maintenance using Constant Contact DP, V/WC
- Publish 2 Source articles/semester V/WC
- 1-2 workshops or other projects/semester – these could be new ideas of yours, or from one of the lists below, or some combination C, CD
Required Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite DP
Preferred Skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with little supervision PA
