ACT Human Rights Film Festival Social Media & Sponsorships Coordinator Workstudy

The 7th annual ACT Human Rights Film Festival comes to Colorado State University in March and April 2022. Produced by the Department of Communication Studies, the festival showcases the best in human rights cinema from around the world. The Social Media & Sponsorships Coordinator plays a key role in the ACT Human Rights Film Festival’s success. This Coordinator helps with creating digital assets for social media engagement and in fulfilling sponsorship benefits. ACT Human Rights Film Festival Student Coordinator reports to ACT’s Managing Director. Location of office varies depending on the task. A laptop computer is available for use.

This is a Spring 2022 semester-long work-study position for students. Applicants must be eligible for work-study to apply.

Key duties include:

Marketing & Publicity
Goal: Increase awareness, brand visibility, and excitement for ACT’s 2022 festival
·         Coordinate and execute social media posts and engagement across multiple channels and platforms.
·         Create a social media strategy and create engaging and effective posts.
·         Develop and distribute content to local/regional outlets/partners
·         Support website updates as needed
·         Facilitate engaging Rocky Mountain Student Media (RMSM) channels in festival promotion and publicity
·         Coordinate, schedule and execute RMSM involvement in festival coverage, director interviews, etc.

Sponsorship Support
·         Distribute vouchers to festival partners
·         Assist to fulfill all sponsorship obligations and deliverables.
·         Track sponsor attendance and engagement and support sponsor stewardship

Customer Service & Festival Support
·         Attend the festival and help staff events as needed.
·         Provide photography and videography.
·         Post to social media
·         Other duties as assigned

Timeline: Workstudy follows Colorado State University’s academic calendar for Spring 2022 semester.

Required Qualifications:
·         Minimum 2.5 GPA
·         Workstudy eligible

Preferred Qualifications:
·         Previous event planning experience
·         Meaningful past volunteer experience in any field
·         College of Liberal Arts major, priority to Communication Studies Majors.

Hourly Pay Rate: $15/hour. Estimated 8 hours a week
