Associate Governmental Program Analyst (Human Resources Analyst)

The Office of the State Public Defender (OSPD) is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) to join our Human Resources (HR) team. Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (Human Resources Manager), the incumbent is responsible for completing the more complex technical and analytical assignments, systems development, formulation of procedures and program alternatives, and consultation in the areas of Exams, Certification, Classification and Compensation, Position Control, Workers’ Compensation, Performance Management, Training, and Special Projects. The incumbent independently interprets and applies a wide variety of personnel laws, rules, policies, and processes in the performance of these functions. This position requires the incumbent to work cooperatively with all levels of staff and management; maintain regular, consistent, and predictable attendance; be detail-oriented; maintain confidentiality; and exercise a high degree of initiative and good judgment. Occasional travel may be required.
