Financial Management Analyst

About the role:
As a Financial Management Analyst, you will perform a variety of financial management duties, utilizing financial principles and procedures in carrying out assignments.
What you'll do:
- Analyze, forecast, and interpret functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds, tracking and control of funds for the organization's programs and activities.
- Monitor financial operations compliance with established internal controls to identify problem areas, determine actions required to improve operating program effectiveness, and ensure and maintain the integrity of financial information.
- Prepare data summaries for inclusion in routine and special financial reports; for example, briefing material for executive hearings, summary reports, or contract plan proposals.
- Response inquiries from organization staff such as the potential impact of policy and/or programmatic adjustments on cost and budget issues.
Experience we're looking for:
1) Researching or reviewing budget estimates or expenditures.
2) Assisting with compiling financial data answering specific requests for information.
3) Assisting with identifying issues in budget and financial proposals.
Salary:
$55,419 - $126,742 per year
Salary will be determined by experience & location.
Expanded/Maximum Telework Posture: Due to COVID-19, the agency is currently in a maximum telework posture. If selected, you may be expected to telework upon your appointment. As employees are permitted to return to the office, you may be required to report to the duty station listed on this announcement, even if your home/temporary telework site is located outside the local commuting area. Your position may be eligible for workplace flexibilities which may include remote work or telework options, and/or flexible work scheduling. These flexibilities may be requested in accordance with the CMS Master Labor Agreement.
