This position serves as part of the Student Success Center team in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Our office is located in Physiology 228, where student staff will have access to a computer and phone in the reception area of our office. This position will have opportunities for training and personal development.
  • We are seeking students with customer service experience who would be excited to welcome, check-in, and connect with current and prospective students visiting our office.
  • Hours per week will be between 5 and 20
  • Availability must be between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday - Friday

Responsibilities
  • Welcome visitors and check them in for appointments / meetings. Visitors will include: Students for advising appointments / office hours, campus partners for meetings, prospective students for visits
  • Manage CVMBS email accounts, responding to prospective and current students and forwarding emails as appropriate
  • Communicate with prospective students as part of the colleges recruitment plan
  • Scheduling student visit experiences in CSU Admissions recruitment system (Slate) - Training will be provided
  • Tidying up and maintaining a clean entry area and desk area
  • Answering phones, taking messages
  • Directing prospective students to visit options and organizing visits as needed 
  • Other Tasks based on personal interest and available time

Required Skills
  • Customer Service Experience

Preferred Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Outlook, Excel, and Documents
