The Dayan lab in the Department of Agricultural Biology at CSU is seeking a reliable, self-motivated student employee with an interest in Weed Science and Herbicide Resistance. Primary duties will include:
1- planting, growing weeds and cleaning greenhouse
2- carrying out experiments in the laboratory
3- carrying out dose-response curves
3- carrying out field research, primarily at ARDEC
 
This position provides a great opportunity to learn molecular techniques including RNAseq analysis and biochemical techniques such as enzyme assays and radiotracing experiments.
 
Skills and Qualifications: Knowledge of basic plant physiology, weed science, and/or agronomy is desired but not required. Prior experience working with plants is a plus
 
Responsibility to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner is a MUST. You will be trained to perform research through relevant projects . It is REQUIRED to follow provided lab protocols to minimize any possible chemical-contamination.
