Student Video Productions Crew Member (Work Study)

Student Video Productions is the corporate video branch of Rocky Mountain Student Media. We produce professional quality videos for a wide variety of clients. These video projects include but are not limited to promotional, training, educational, social media, short story, live event, sketches, time lapse and even music video. SVP crew members help to plan, film, edit, and revise these videos, and are involved in every stage of the video production process. Opportunities are also offered to get involved in the business side of video production, including, but not limited to project management, video sales pitches, attending networking events and making cold calls. Group and one-on-one trainings are offered to SVP employees.
 
Responsibilities:
●     Filming high quality videos for professional projects
●     Editing raw footage together to make finished videos.
●     Working with a team of videographers to create professional quality videos
●     Generating ideas for videos that clients could use
●     Working with clients for projects
●     Communicating with clients
●     Keeping equipment organized and in good working order
●     Keeping files organized and easily accessible
 
Requirements:
●     Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or similar editing software
●     Advanced camera skills
●     Previous video production experience
●     Strong ambition to make videos
●     Ability to work with a team
●     Strong organizational skills
●     3-10 hours a week of availability to shoot videos, edit videos and attend meetings during the academic year.
●     10 hours a week availability over the 2023 summer, if seeking hours during that time.
●     Minimum one semester commitment but more is preferred

Pluses:
●     Experience with live production
●     Experience with recording audio
●     Available during summer
●     Knowledge of lighting setups
●     Experience with After Effects or similar software
●     Ability to create motion graphics
●     Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or similar software
●     Formal education with video production
●     Experience working with clients

Base pay: $13.96/hr
Students with need or non-need based work study award are encouraged to apply.
Hours per week vary depending on the projects. Usually, 3-10 hours a week. Must be available to attend weekly meetings and to film projects.
