Under direct supervision, provides administrative support by performing duties and tasks that are assigned or working along-side staff. Applies limited judgment and knowledge of concepts and practices and by following specific, detailed instructions or procedures. Non-Technical assignments may support one of the following: Administrative/Clerical Support, Maintenance/Building Services, Materials Management, and others not listed. 

This position is not open for relocation. 

You Will:
  • Perform administrative duties and tasks that are broad and varied, which may include filing, answer phones, data entry, travel.
  • Enters routine and some non-routine transactions, runs standard reports and ad-hoc data queries with some predetermined criteria into major production systems e.g. Oracle.
  • Sorts, distributes, delivers, and sends faxes, emails, standard correspondence, and mail.
  • Picks up and delivers supplies, if necessary, provides services to customers in assigned area.
  • Maintains records related to work, inspections and/or tests completed on equipment such as emergency lights, emergency safety equipment, fire doors and exit lights.
  • May move light furniture, equipment and materials as needed.
  • May deliver mail throughout the Laboratory.
  • May deliver packages, set up chairs and tables for meetings, or make minor repairs.
  • Assist in the preparation of the dining area by preparing and presenting food, providing table service to customers, cleans tables, floors, kitchen equipment, service counter areas and prepares dishes for dishwashing.
  • May assist in the overall operation of the of the assigned area, including sorting and shelving books, inspecting returned books, searching requests and cataloging. 
  • Participates in ordering, inventory and circulation of journals and assists in providing information to users.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Abides by and is responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.

Minimum required Education and Experience: High school and relevant work experience needed.
