The Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board has an opening for an Engineering Geologist in the Irrigated Lands Program. The position is located at 895 Aerovista Place, Suite 101, San Luis Obispo, California. If you enjoy protecting, preserving, and enhancing water quality, then apply today and join our team!

Under the close supervision of the Senior Engineering Geologist, the employee will work on high priority tasks associated with the protection of groundwater basins from pollution associated with irrigated agricultural activities. Tasks include evaluating basin scale groundwater monitoring program designs, evaluating water quality data, interpreting fate and transport of agricultural chemicals, and coordination with various parties to achieve solutions for pollutant loading.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
