The Role:

The role of Systems Engineer Co-op is an important one for the digital transformation of our analytics department. This role will be in support and development of a data platform and pipeline to facilitate the use of advanced data analytics tools in statistical processing, machine learning and AI. This platform will enable data accessibility, reporting, summarization and predictive modeling for NPD and manufacturing operations at the organization. These tools will leverage our current and future data streams to allow for more accurate, faster data driven business decisions.
Expected Outcomes:
The expected outcome of this role is to develop and fine tune the powerBI dashboard and platform for new product development results viewing and data visualization. The primary elements of this project are: Build master data, develop and collaborate on data pipelining, development of the data analytics dashboard, optimization to meet the business and customer needs in powerBI. Key components include:
Reliable data pipeline from critical data directory & or database to PowerBI.
Dashboard completion for results summarization and visualization.
Implementation of advanced data analytics - machine learning tools.
Business acceptance of the report in powerBI by key stakeholders
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
- Understanding of basic data science principles - principle component analysis, data cleaning methods, data visualization techniques, basic machine learning fundamentals.
- PowerBI experience, or willingness to learn platform Excel experience and basic statistical data processing techniques.
- Basic programming experience in python, java, or C.
- Studying computer Science, data science, chemistry with a graduation date of 2024/2025.
