Temporary PT Research and Policy Analysis Associate – Student Worker

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:
This temporary part-time Research and Policy Analysis Associate – Student Worker is responsible for completing assigned tasks and work assignments related to Data Services research and policy analysis. (Approximately 20 hour per week.)

Essentials Functions:What will the Temporary PT Research and Policy Analysis Associate – Student Worker do?

WORK STATEMENTS:

  • Accurately download and compile publicly available data from sources such as the Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, or National Center for Education Statistics using Excel or SPSS.
  • Assist with creating data visualizations for the SREB Fact Book on Higher Education and the SREB-State Data Exchange Survey.
  • Accurately update data in Excel spreadsheets that currently serve as the source of data for the SREB Fact Book on Higher Education.
  • Compile data for the 2023 SREB College Affordability Profiles using R. Update these Profiles in Word after data are compiled.
  • Assist SREB staff in writing reports for grants aimed at improving data sharing across state agencies.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Work scheduled hours and be available for meetings and phone calls with team members.
