Summer Leadership Intern - Information Technology

Our program features a series of expert-led seminars to help you hone your skills. Your experience will culminate with a Team Project where you will work on a real-world business case and present your findings directly to Senior Leadership.

What You Get to Do:


  • Providing direct support for in park systems to include system installation, troubleshooting, repairs and problem resolution
  • Troubleshoot and isolate problems with network PC’s, printers, peripheral devices, and other IT supported assets
  • Support park fiber and copper communications infrastructure
  • Collaborate with other departments to bring unique experiences to our guests
  • Conducting and maintaining equipment inventories
  • Contacting vendors for service calls and shipping equipment out for repairs as required
  • Assisting with user account administration and general IT Help Desk support
  • Troubleshoot and isolate problems with network PC’s, printers, peripheral devices, and other IT supported assets
  • Complete work requests and incidents quickly, and maintain system documentation as needed
  • Other duties as directed


What it Takes to Succeed:


  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Experience with Office 365
  • High School diploma required with some technical training on PC’s and Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Minimum 1 year experience with PC’s and Windows 10 Operating System
  • Work experience and understanding in network hardware such as Ethernet and peripheral equipment
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and able to meet company driving guidelines
  • Must be willing to be scheduled to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • This position could involve bending and lifting of computers and computer related equipment and the ability to access area under construction and behind scenes.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Must be a self-motivator and work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment and possess good interpersonal communications skills and work well with users
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and to work independently, providing timely resolution of customer needs

What you get to do:

  • Attend seminars held by various departments within the park, including Culinary Operations, Design & Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Merchandise, and Park Operations as well as visiting Professors.
  • Park tours with members of your leadership team
  • Planned meeting sessions with members of the park’s leadership team
  • Complete a Team project where groups of Interns will work on a real-world business case and present their findings and recommendations directly to Senior Leadership.
  • Interns will have the experience of front-line involvement, overseeing a team of employees and providing guidance and direction to their team as they interact with thousands of guests daily

As a Leadership Intern you'll:

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of all assigned locations
  • Monitor all assigned locations to ensure safety, Five-Star Service, and cleanliness
  • Assist with the training of new Ambassadors and ensuring they have the proper training documentation
  • Maintain safety standards for both Ambassadors and guests
  • Oversee and coordinate daily assignments for all Ambassadors to include employee scheduling, rotation schedules and break schedules
  • Monitor budgeted labor and location supplies
  • Coach and counsel Ambassadors on their performance
  • Complete all tasks assigned by park leadership in a timely manner

What it takes to succeed:

  • Must be currently pursuing a college degree
  • Commit to working through the 2022 peak operating season (mid May– mid August)
  • Flexible availability (schedules include nights, weekend and holidays)
  • Excellent human relations and communication skills
  • Previous leadership or theme park experience is a plus

This is a general internship application. Your preference for placement in a specific line of business will be requested and you will be placed based on your preference, experience and our business needs. This is a paid internship and can be used for credits based on the requirements of your College or University. Please see your school for requirements.
