HR Coordinator

The Coordinator on the MCP People Team is an important role in making sure that our team members across all of MCP are paid appropriately and on time, have smooth well running benefits, and generally have a good employee experience. This role will directly support our awesome team at the MCP Office in Durango, and partner with all of our Resort’s people teams to help make sure that all People related processes run smoothly.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Resort People Teams to help process Bi-Weekly Payroll
  • Complete the Year End Close process to include W-2s, 1095-Cs, and reporting
  • Carry out ACHs, Manual Checks, and Coordination with the Accounting Department on Payroll related issues
  • Carry out important benefits administration tasks such as updating employee information, coordination with carriers and brokers, and audits
  • Respond to inquiries from federal, state, and local agencies
  • Help with the administration of the HR Software System to include updating information, submitting help tickets, following up on issues as they arise
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives, providing general support to Resort People Leaders as needed
  • People related invoicing to make sure that all people related vendors are paid appropriately
  • Assist with the recruiting process to include resume review, scheduling, and reference checks
  • Be the main point of contact for the MCP Durango Office in assisting with People related matters
  • Put in place and carry out an employee recognition program for the MCP Durango Office to boost morale and keep the team motivated
  • Build and maintain MCP culture through our core values and industry best practices
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Job Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human resources, Business Administration or a related field and 0 to 3 years in an HR or Administrative Role
  • OR 2 to 4 Years of experience in an HR or Administrative Role
Preferred:
  • 1-3 years of experience in an HR or Administrative Role
  • Prior experience working in the skiing or outdoors industry
 
Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Ability to use spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software, preferably the Google Suite of Products
  • High Level of Organizational Skills and the ability to multitask
  • Good customer service skills, and the ability to make relationships with diverse groups of people
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment
 
The salary range for this role is $18 to $24 an hour.
