Weekly Work Schedule Summer Hours:  Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm. 

2024 ALCIVIA Internship Program Dates: May 20, 2024 through August 16, 2024.

  • There is the potential to start early to work part-time hours during the school year or work into the fall.

Essential Responsibilities:

ALCIVIA is looking for a Grain/Agronomy Operations Interns to be a part of safely and efficiently completing the day-to-day operations tasks at our facilities. They will work hand-in-hand with our Operations staff on a variety of tasks, both in an office setting and outside in the facility. The Grain/Agronomy Operations Intern works with Operation Manager to assist with operations-based activities that ensure facility and equipment efficiency.

  • Observes and practices personal knowledge of Grain/Agronomy Operations by working closing with the Site/Production Managers
  • Meets regularly with Operation Managers, Precision Ag Managers, and Sales to discuss where needed and what activity is being learned around the Grain/Agronomy Facilities
  • Observes and practices personal knowledge of Grain/Agronomy Operations
  • Continually advances knowledge of ALCIVIA’s products and services
  • Promotes a customer-focused environment by providing friendly, courteous and helpful service that provides customers with desired products, services and experiences
  • Communicates effectively and respectfully with employees and customers
  • Assist with loading and unloading corn/beans/wheat
  • Assist with Inventory record keeping of products
  • Assist Precision Ag Manager with accuracy and clarity of records pertaining technology-based recommendations
  • Support cross-divisional collaboration whenever possible
  • Help in other areas of the business as bandwidth allows
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Working toward Bachelors or Associates Degree in Agriculture related field
  • Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation to work
  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong enthusiasm for building internal and external relationships
  • Embrace goals and goal setting to grow your career
  • Must be able to walk, sit, or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in outdoor conditions
  • Ability to work in grain dust areas
  • Safety first mindset
