Environmental Technician III

Aquionix, Inc., a leading environmental services company located in Arvada, Colorado, is currently looking to add an Environmental Technician III to our team. We have been using handshake for hiring environmental technicians for the last few years and have had great success! Unfortunately we are not looking for a part-time position, so you must have completed your degree. Please let me know if you have any questions about the job.

Essential Job Functions:

• Scheduling and performance of field sampling and monitoring;

• After-hours sampling and driving at night;

• Review and analysis of data;

• Preparation of reports;

• Maintenance of field sampling and monitoring equipment;

• Coordination with off-site laboratory services;

 

Additional Job Functions:

• Performing additional work reasonably expected to be completed including, but not limited to, special projects, drafting/ maintaining Aquionix policies and procedures and miscellaneous building inspections and maintenance;

 

Qualifications / Skills Required

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a bachelor's degree, preferably in science or engineering;

• Experience/knowledge related to environmental sampling;

• Have experience in water quality sampling/compliance (wastewater, stormwater, drinking water, ground water);

• Be able to think analytically;

• Be detail oriented and a competent technical writer;

• Be well organized and able to manage several projects at once;

• Be able to schedule and complete work with minimal supervision;

• Have excellent communication skills;

• Be proficient on computers and with Microsoft Office applications;

• Be able to manipulate field equipment that weighs up to 50-pounds;

• Be able to work in extreme weather conditions and at high altitude;

• Have a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts;

• Be available for occasional overnight travel;

• Have valid driver's license and an excellent driving record; and

• Have basic knowledge of EPA and local environmental rules and regulations.

 

Compensation/Benefits/Schedule

 

• Salary: $42K annual starting salary with 6 month review/ raise and overtime after 40 hours per week.

The successful candidate must pass a criminal background check and zero tolerance drug and alcohol screening prior to employment.
