Mission

The mission of Presidential Ambassadors is to promote the strategic plan of Colorado State University through a leadership and service organization that embodies diversity and engages the unique talents of CSU students in support of institutional advancement.

Position Overview 

The Presidential Ambassadors Leader is responsible for assisting with recruitment, retention and training efforts, marketing communication and philanthropy events. This position reports to the Associate Director for University Event and Ceremonies.

Responsibilities

  • Participates as an active member of Presidential Ambassadors and the Presidential Ambassadors Leadership Council. L, CD
  • With guidance from University Advancement staff, schedules, develops content for and implements all PA training sessions, retreats and professional development workshops. CT/PS, TW
  • Works closely with professional staff, PA Leadership Council and PA members to develop and implement a strategic plan for the recruitment and selection of new members, including marketing campaigns to support these efforts. C, TW, L, V/WC, CD
  • Within a given budget, develops, implements, and maintains a strategic retention and recognition program for PA membership. Coordinates the annual end-of-year recognition event. L, C, CD
  • On a rotating basis with other members of the PA Leadership Council, initiates agenda and leads preparation for regularly scheduled PA meetings. L, TW
  • Facilitates mentorship connections and activities for current PAs and PA alumni serving as mentors. L, TW, CD
  • Oversee the strategy and implementation of the annual Gratitude Philanthropy Week. 
  • Plans and coordinates regular events designed to enhance PA social interaction outside of regularly scheduled events and meetings. TW, L
  • Monitors the PA email account; facilitates responses to inquiries as needed. DP
  • Maintains regular contact with each member of the program to monitor performance, address concerns and questions. L, TW, CD
  • Coordinate event scheduling and documentation of each PA’s hourly participation. TW, CT/PS
  • Participates in regularly scheduled meetings with the program’s advisor when necessary. L, PA, CD
  • Participates in regularly scheduled Leadership Council meetings. L, TW, CD
  • Provides world-class service to internal and external constituents in a manner consistent with the mission of the Engagement Team. TW, CD
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the goals and objectives of the PA program. CD

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have completed a minimum of one year of service as a Presidential Ambassador.
  • Must meet minimum qualifications of Presidential Ambassadors membership.
  • Must be available to serve a full academic year term, during which a minimum commitment of five (5) hours per week during each semester is required
