Human-Dimensions of Wildlife Research Technician

The Social-Ecological Systems Lab at Utah State University is looking for a research technician to work with Dr. Anna Miller to transcribe and code qualitative data (i.e. open-ended responses to questions). This is an on-campus opportunity to learn more about outdoor recreation management, human-wildlife interactions, and social science research methods. 

After being trained in qualitative data methods, the successful applicant will work independently to transcribe and code at least two different types of qualitative data according to a developed protocol. The work can start immediately, and will end by June 30, 2024. Working hours are flexible, and an on-campus work station can be provided. 

The successful applicant will be required to complete CITI training for human subject research. Preference will be given to those with a strong interest in social science research, natural resource management and/or outdoor recreation management is preferred, but not required.
