Job description

The pay range for this position is $14.42- $20.00/hr. 

 

The Development team for the College of Agricultural Sciences (CAS) is seeking a Development Student Coordinator. The CAS Development Student Coordinator will assist the Development Operations Coordinator with development operations, donor relations, administrative support, and various other operational tasks.

 

We are hiring for the 24/25 year school year and would prefer a student who can start this semester and train with the current student team; work hours over Summer 2024 as needed.

 

What You’ll Be Doing 

 

General Office Support and Administrative Duties - DP, CT/PS

  • Weekly Acknowledgements process – pull weekly gift report and track spreadsheet for donor thank you messages
  • Development Budget Support – track weekly development expenses
  • Assistance with mail projects (ex. getting out Cards, assisting with Mail mergers, etc.)
  • Organize collateral materials for development team trips and donor visits
  • Help create stewardship reports (donor impact reports)
  • Comb through CSU Alumni Association stories and publications on a regular basis and highlight CAS alums and share those names with Development staff
  • Meeting and Travel Scheduling as needed

 

Aid in College Level Events - GC, CT/PS, DP, V/WC, CD, IT, C, L

  • Help with annual event planning and preparation
  • Event script support
  • “Day of” Event assistance – greeting guests, passing out nametags ,etc.
  • Customer service mindset/orientation

 

Gift Administration CT/PS, PA

  • Support for processing Gifts in Kind
  • Process incoming cash donations

  

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work to maximize productivity, and respond effectively to change

  • Must be willing to work fall and spring semester, some summer hours preferred
  • This is a work‐study position; all applicants must be eligible for work‐study to apply
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Word)

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and address upcoming assignments
  • Understand the importance of cultivating and maintaining donor relationships and confidentiality
  • Excellent ability to promote a culture of support and inclusion to students, staff, faculty, and donors, and work effectively with diverse groups and individuals
  • Ability to exercise considerable initiative, independent judgment, self-motivation, and discretion
  • Ability to assist with design, writing and communication from and on behalf of CHHS development team
  • Ability to learn new software systems and management databases
