Student Telescope Operator

Student telescope operators will be responsible for hosting 1 - 2 public night sky observing sessions each month at the Madison-MacDonald Observatory on campus. During these public nights, student operators will work in pairs or with a lead telescope operator.

A passion for astronomy and science outreach is essential. Knowledge of the night sky and experience operating manual telescopes is preferred. Training in telescope operation and public outreach will be provided.
